Superbird oil pump

I may have a factory original 2203260 oil pump in my Superbird. After the part number there is a K3 stamping. It appears to be dripping but not at the flat gaskets. Interface between unit and block appear to be dry. Oil filter gasket dry as a bone. It may be dripping around the square head bolt at the relief valve. Bolt was not over tight so would the be any reason for oil to get past the threads. Not sure if there should be thread sealant on the bolt. I have no problem installing a new pump but being under the car the immediate area is extremely tight and there does not appear to be any access to unbolt the unit unless I start to dismantle things.

Has anyone ever installed a new pump on a bird while engine resides in car. What did you have to do to get to the bolt heads with a wrench.

ive changed / swapped  oil pumps on my charger    with the car on the ground a couple of times when I was younger , once even on the side of the road ( don't ask , long story     )  could not get under there now though , with out putting it on jack stands , but it can be done !!
 it comes out  from the bottem ,  need to remove the plastic splash shield , & the oil filter first , &  because yours is a 70 , the sway bar is  in the way of  the pump coming out ,

just had a look at the underside of a super bird , & forgot the 70 sway bar set up leaves lots of room at the front ! ,  think the pump could come out from the front instead of the side ,

I've also noticed that this is the case.  Funny...I didn't notice a whole ton less ground clearance but let's just keep blaming the car

Guys, to post photos with comments is very much appreciated. I will trade my Superbird for the one in the photo anytime. I will get back under there tomorrow. I ordered an OEM standard flow oil pump in lieu of the high volume. The 440 worked well for all these years with the standard pump and since engine is stock I did not want to create any new problems with some older gasket being compromised. Wish me luck.

Added Note:
the plastic splash guard is riveted to frame rail via wide flange pop rivets. I can drill these out but where do I get the exact same rivets to re-attach let alone the tool.

The shield on mine is metal and is on with self taping 3/8 hex head bolts with captive washer.

 if your not concerned with it being original ,   I used the same to attach mine !! both sides going back after the resto , easier to remove to do stuff , should you need to
