I went on a road trip this weekend and stopped in at Stark wrecking yard in Dayton Ohio.
Saw a lot of rotting iron slowly sinking back into the earth.
I have a bunch of pictures so I figured I would share some.

Thanks for the tour   I enjoy looking through junkyards.  If these vehicles could talk....

No problem, I enjoy walking old yards like this.
Not many left anymore, and I'm not really sure how long this one will be around.
They had even more old stuff way back in the woods but it was fenced off.

It's an Impala or maybe a Buick.  It's definitely a GM product

So, if a tree falls on a Chevy and no ones around....does it make a sound?

Your right, not to many old yards left, if only they could talk. Better yet, if some owners would have kept a log of when, who & why they got all the cars & trucks, now there would be some nice reading. Thanks for posting but did not see one darn cat or duck..

The Charger still has some of it's window trim!  That's at least a 2000$ car on E-bay!  :icon_smile_tongue:

Was the whole yard like that or was that just an old section?

Most of the yard is 80's and back. The newest cars I saw were from the 90's.
They fenced off the very back of the yard which has become very overgrown.
It looked like a deep forest full of old cars. That section has mostly 30's-60's stuff.
