the pics didn't come out that great. Didn't get a shot from the front (car was garaged). Excuse the tape....

"An aggressive exterior with power to match was enough to pull in the performance boys-especially when abetted by a pair of pipes blaring out the back, and brawny red-sidewall rubber hitting the pavement."

"........the four speed box changes cogs with the precision of a sharp axe striking soft pine."

That does look pretty good!  And it is plastic after all?  I really like it.

While I would gladly be open to putting a spoiler like that on my car (love the angle and the full width) it still seems to me that we have not found the one from the advert.  While possible, it is difficult for me to imagine that they put a later A body spoiler on a 69 Charger for the Direct Connection ad.  And it could be an artist rendering but I doubt it.  It doesn't make sense that Direct Connection would put something on that ad that people would immediately notice, many would like, but is unavailable for the car.

Yes, definitely plastic. Looking at the advert, I think it is an artist rendering, not a photo. The background certainly is, and some of it doesn't look quite right- look at the headrests, the shadow, the tinted windscreen, the valence is different... I doubt there is a spoiler they produced that looks exactly like that for a charger/b body. The ad is for camshafts, and they put a couple of other things on the charger that they produce to whet the customers appetite and show off what else they can do without them being the direct focus, hence the lack of detail/accuracy to the spoiler.

That aside,  angle of the spoiler wasn't quite right on a couple of those shots I took, but still looks pretty good on there and easily looks as though it could have been produced for a Charger.

I've got a 69 brand x sitting in the shop waiting to be installed, lol.

The one in the ad would be killer...Seems like someone could make one fairly similar to that if you have any good shops nearby...

Should've used 100 mile an hour duct tape and I could've tested on the ride over the harbour bridge to work this morning, as it was, there was a piece of sellotape still there, those boys from Creative must've missed that during the beer & cigars QA assessment following the trial fitment...

Leave that tape on Bob, any remnants from Creative are worth their weight in gold  :icon_smile_big:
