Could be interesting. They won't do it....I'd prefer it to look slightly more like the magnum myself...but check it out.

I like the idea.  I also liked the Magnum for its utility, but I think this would be a flop in the U.S market.  Ask Cadillac how many CTS-V wagons are busting out of their showrooms.  :brickwall:

Did Volvo give up on their wagon yet?  Neighbor has one but they aren't in that dead cat swinging category either.

Ghoste

DOH! :slap:  Sorry Tuffy, it's just an expression, I didn't mean that people should start disrespecting dead cats or any other kind of cats.

TUFCAT

Ha!!  I'll let you off the hook..... this time. :icon_smile_cool:

I don't think Volvo makes cars for the US market anymore, or any market for that matter??  Never hear much about Volvo worldwide.  I thought their sporty wagons sold pretty well here. Probably better in Europe though.

We know they are gonna make only 5 cars in the future, viper, caravan, charger, challenger, and jeep.... All will have option for hellcat.

Where does "Shooting Brake" come from?

Until now I had only seen it applied to British cars so a quick Google check shows it to have started as a car with an open body to carry hunters on shooting expeditions and the body style evolved over the last century.

Volvo is advertising a wagon on TV in the Commiefornia market. Which, come to think of it, is kinda like Europe.  :smilielol:

Caravan?--sure--lets get the whole family involved. Every one wants to be able to go fast in comfort ---as needed---
Haven't yet heard chatter about a hellcat PU but it should be soon to follow.

I'm still waiting for the gov. to step in on our fun. The ones that choked muscle cars in the early 70s are still hear and if they haven't gained a sense of adventure yet we might hear from them again.

Caravan is getting axed.  Jeep is another brand in which I believe will not be getting anymore 392's, or so I've heard.  Same goes for the 300.  I highly doubt that they'd get the Hellcat engine if they're not getting the 392's.  That leaves the midsized replacement for the Avenger.  It's rumored to be rear wheel drive and share a line with an Alfa Romeo.   I can see a Ram getting the 392 if they want to build something to compete with the Raptor.  Hellcat? :scratchchin:

I've been concerned about that ever since the Hellcat started getting press.  We've got lawmakers who would love to gain votes in expensive zip codes by punishing Detroit for gas-burning excesses.  These headline-grabbing horsepower numbers please some people but alienate others.

The govt didn't kill muscle cars the first time.  Rising insurance rates (because people wrecked them A LOT) and the gas crisis (international issues) did more to kill them than pollution & safety rules ever did.

Not a big fan of station wagons.  The invention of the SUV has pretty much killed the station wagon.  The charger is already the furthest from the original styling when compared to the Chally, mustang, and Camaro.  I don't want to see it move even further from its roots to a station wagon. Just my opinion.
When someone is absolutely 100% sure they know exactly what your problem is and how to fix it, it's time to ask someone else!

Now that would be embarrassing to have your lunch eaten by a soccer mom in a Caravan Hellcat.  My little Willie might go into hiding for a week after that.
