I heard someone at the track describe it as Carlisle is where white collar types take their Hemi cars and Columbus is where rednecks go to party.

Dang, I need to go to that one!!  Haven't had the car on the road for that long, but the only show/cruise I've ever gone to was Carlisle this summer.  Entered the showfield and had a great time, even if I did have the worst 2nd gen. charger there.  :2thumbs:

Me to---When to many know it all's get together it's not the outing I'm looking for.  Let's be honest :icon_smile_wink:
The more brand specific a show is the less fun I get from it.  Things outside of my knowledge base attract me and I may even be one those that can't hold my tongue and make a statement about something that should have been a question instead.
Yes I have been one of those guys but am going through a 12 step program and hope to be well soon :slap:

Must be different in areas. I hate going to an all car show. All there are is Chevelles all of which are "SS" and 57 Chebbys here. If I never see another one again it will be too soon.
I also got tired of Chebby people telling me how they owned a Mopar once and couldn't get parts for it.
What they really mean is they can't walk into KMart and buy parts.   :slap:

All Mopar shows for me.

The party in the streets of Saugerties NY self proclaimed Best Little Car Show in the Northeast ..  :2thumbs:    http://sawyermotorscarshow.com/

Why?  I live there and all the $$$ goes directly to the designated charity.    This year it made over $40K for the local boys and girls club.

SEMA show, if you ever get a chance to go take it, wife loves it too. For us on the west coast Hot August Nights in Reno, Nv. Or the Sacramento Vintage Ford show, it's once a month last Friday of the month about about 800 cars show up of all types.
I will be going back to SEMA again this year, anyone else going?

I go to a lot of car shows here in MN. My 2 favorites are Mopars in the Park, and Car Craft Summer Nationals. Both great shows. :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
Flatback Fanatic, Kurt  , MN

Dodge Don

Moparfest in Canada or Carlisle in PA.....if you ignore all the new cars at Carlisle it is about the same size as Moparfest but with a much bigger vendor area.

I find myself preferring the shows where the audience are not all car guys. The shows where families and average folks stroll through are the best.

:iagree:  X2!  Cars are great and all but I love getting together with friends there the best! Wish is was more than once a year!
