There is a fellow on facebook who has created a page called the 1968 Dodge Charger Registry.  He might also be a member here but I don't know.  I know us 68 guys have been lacking a registry for a while.  This page collects info on the car and pins it on an interactive world map.  Kind of neat.  Obviously not as in depth as the old 68 registry nor other years registries.  bUt it is a start and is pretty cool.  If you are on facebook and have a 68 go on over there and join.

Doesn't Ghoste have a 69 registry?  And if you are talking about something like this facebook page, I think it would be simple enough to start one.  You should do it, the map thing is pretty cool.

Yes, I have one it needs to be put online.  I can start a fb group easily enough too but I need to have someone to recommend it to.

Cool idea, but for those who avoid f.book and all it represents  ( me ) then I guess its just another page...
I'd much rather go with an "open source" type of site rather than a likes page..
The old site had a range of interesting info and the guy that ran it would also decode tags and email them in a decoded format for display which I thought was great.

Member  Dans 68 Charger on here is in the process of developing a 68 Charger Registry, its been a little while since any updates but, like every one else, life and families priority can put other things on the back burner.

Well that is certainly understandable, life happens.  I would love for there to be another 68 registry though, aside from the facebook page.  I believe this has been discussed here before, uut I don't recall seeing any answers, whatever happened to Wayne Wooten?  I know his registry has a facebook page as well, but I have sent it periodic messages to no avail.

I'm on there but have not told him my vin and location.  I'm hesitant to give home such info....at first i thought he wanted full vin, exact address, fender tag info, etc....

Then he assured me its only first 7 vin, city only with state.....

I think I may have seen your post to him.  I never asked him about it.  He said that he needed the vin and I sent him the first 7 and that was it. Next thing I knew I was on the map with just the 7.  This was right at the beginning and everyone else on there was giving full vin.  I don't blame you.  But the first 7 and the city you live I don't figure can hurt.  Thats all he has on me and it is fine.

In the future if someone was to do a legit registry (not on facebook) I would likely be willing to be more forthcoming with info.  For his limited purposes, what I gave was fine.

I registered my '68 Charger project on that Facebook page, seems pretty legit so far and I've seen some pretty nice machines posted! I too was a little hesitant at first to give him my VIN and where I live. So far I haven't given him my VIN but now I know it's just the first part of VIN so that's ok. I did post pics of mine right after I registerd.

Yea it does seem legit.  It is just a charger fan (and nice guy from what I can tell) who was looking to have a place to compile a map of where 68s are distributed and what kind they are (so, first 7).  I think it is a pretty cool thing.
