whats the highest octane you can run in a bone stock 440? the gas station near me sells torco 110....not cheap....never ever used it in anything, but i was just curious what the 440 can handle

I know you older guys ran Sunoco 260 which i believe was 104?......maybe 110 is a little much

It isn't that it can't handle it, its that it could be a waste of your money.  If it's leaded and you don't have hardened seats for your valves you might want to get some but cut it with regular (I don't know 50/50?) to make it a smarter purchase moneywise.  If you have pinging in your engine you might want to try it too but keep cutting it back in mix until you find that ratio that gets rid of the ping.
If none of those things are problems for you then buying the 110 would be a wste of money.

no issues in my car, I was just curious if it could handle it is all....I don't plan on buying it (at 6.99 a gallon) it seems a bit much

I was just asking! id love to find some 95 or so, car runs good on 93, but 95 im sure it would be even better..

Wow $6.99 for 110 octane.  I would kill for that here in Denver.
When someone is absolutely 100% sure they know exactly what your problem is and how to fix it, it's time to ask someone else!

Unless you are racing, the high octane stuff will be.... un noticeable. Go with 93, dial back the timing a point or two and just enjoy.

Unless its a race motor, 93 should be more then enough even without pulling timing. Im running 40' total in mine on 93 with zero pinging.
