Finally breaking ground on the clean up of the body. Plan on replacing floor/truck sections, Quarter Panel skin, complete strip and bodywork prep. More pics to come (documenting starting point).....

What I plan on doing with car is a complete restoration with my own twist. The car was my dad's and he passed it to me when he was tired of it sitting. I want to first get the body stripped and fix whatever metal is needed. Upgrade components (i.e. Engine, suspension, brakes, etc), paint and peel. I say it like that to make it sound quick and easy but I know it won't be. Finally got a place to park her away from the weather and will have my lift running soon. I want to do as much of it myself to save money and learn more about my new favorite pass time. When she's back on the road, I plan on driving her down to GA so my Dad can enjoy her for the winter. I really just want him to burn-rubber like he did when I was a kid. I will keep you guys posted with pics and I'm sure I'll have tons of questions as I learn what I'm doing.

Hi from AZ, i'm looking forward to watching your  car coming together too. I have a 73 also but it came from Arizona, it was a beautiful piece of metal but everything in it and outside of it was just fried from the sun. I live on eBay.

I don't know exactly how far down you're going to take your car but when I started mine everything, glass, doors,mechanisms, engine transmission, trunk lid,everything came off the car and I scrubbed it, cleaned up, evaluate how bad the car was.

There is another great website called Moparts.com, it has a wonderful parts swap section and advice in it as well. For our third generation Charger, some of the parts are not made yet and may never be made, and that will lead you to having to find new old stock or salvage parts.

Try not to look at the whole car project as one project, you need to break down Your car into many projects, otherwise it will look so big and monstrous that you'll lose grip on it.
