Looks like a great turnout of Chargers!

Ghoste

A lot of 1st gens and 3rd gens with a healthy turnout of 68's.

Great pics guys, thanks for posting. I'm glad that some of us take the time to shoot these pics and post them (not me of course) :rotz: Had a great trip and also was good to see you all again and hang out. A funny thing happened to me on the way home, Jeff and I left at the same time and headed east and as we headed down the hiway he pulled up beside me and seemed to offer up a challenge ;) I gladly accepted, but next time Jeff use the peddle on the right side !!!! :nana: That little blast down the Hiway consumed alot of gas I guess cause by the time we reached the end of the 407 I was Bingo fuel ::) but alas my trusty GPS told me there was a fuel stop 4Km north of the 407 so I followed its guidance and at the location where this fuel place was supposed to be there was only a rural dirt road,,,,OH OH I continued to the top of the next hill hoping to see SOMETHING but before me was fields and fields of beautiful southern Ontario. I decided to try to get back to civilization  but that wasnt going to happen at this point cause my car died :brickwall: I coasted to the spot where the gas station was supposed to be and pulled onto the dirt road.

Now what to do? There was one little house just down the road and I figured might as well go ask for the local gas station. Here's where I figured I was in for a big walk somewhere and I was going to have to leave my car here. A lady came to the door and I could tell she was on edge about me being there but I explained my situation to her and next thing I knew she was out side and told me she was going to drive me to a fuel station about 10Km away. I told her that was not necessary but really I was very relieved. Now here's another twist she takes me to her car, a brand new BMW 2 seater convertible sports car!!! Friggin cool :drool5: It takes a couple of places to find a open station 40KM round trip, I cleaned out the store of Jerry cans and filled up her car as well.

Sorry for the long story but I was really touched by her selfishness and all of her help. I have always had that little saying at the bottom of my posts and that day was proof of that saying!

Scott

Once those two outboard carbs kick in it doesn't take long to see just how much fuel a 440 can really take.

RIDELIKEHELL

I like the Vectors on this one, when is someone going to do a 1st gen GL?

how much did they want for that one? if i could find a reasonably priced first gen i would attempt it. but use removable decals just in case it didn't look right

Yes the rain on Saturday was miserable, my kids were laughing at me trying too keep the car dry.
Thanks for the compliment, there hasn't been any serious interest in the car and I have far too much blood sweat and tears not too mention $$ into it too give it away.
A friend has offered me long term storage, so I think I will just tuck it away for now

After having issues on the way home Saturday I left the car in the garage and just went without it Sunday to enjoy the show. It was a much better day without having to deal with the general public and stupid questions.
I had a chance too see your car as well on the Sunday  :o :drool5: very Niiice sir!! Well done!
I did have a chance too shake hands with dodge don on Sunday and compliment him on his ride
Great show as always, thanks to those that shared pics.
Already looking forward to next year :2thumbs:

Ghoste

What kind of stupid questions would you need to deal with on your car?   It's beautiful.

The general public just doesn't understand the time and effort that's put into our cars and from what I've gathered doesn't seem too appreciate the old cars once they don't look 100% OE like a magazine photo. One person told me it was stupid to put a Dana in an auto car cause it adds too much weight??!!!
The strange 60 in my car was $5500 Canadian and will outlast me!!
Another gentlemen was admit that my motor was not a 440 but in fact a 440HEMI!! He had one new.....

Most people don't even take the time to read the info you provide....
One lady tells her husband my car isn't safe cause the power steering box has a leak and I have nerve asking that kind of money for the car. Meanwhile a $1100 Canadian Borgenson steering pump Is Included in sale brand new in the box. Motor has to be pulled to install thanks to TTi headers but they couldn't be bothered too read the provided info and rather just cut up the car right in front of me.

You're a fool for changing the 383... It would be a 60K car all day long if it was original?!?!
When I got the car it already had a 1969 440 !?
Well you should change it all back....

To say it was a frustrating experience would be an understatement

Ghoste

Yeah, those comments would piss me off too.

moparnation74

Those comments would piss me off as well.  What nerve of people today.  How about a five knuckle sandwich with your order?  By the way, their cars are where/what?

firefighter3931

Looks like a good time was had despite some bad weather. One day i'll have to haul the Black Pig down for this event.  :icon_smile_big:

Excellent pics....thanks for posting them  :2thumbs:

Scott : you should know better....allways have lots of fuel on board on don't trust those stupid GPS things. I've been burned more than once relying on the old Garmin  :P

Chris : I saw that you deleted your for sale add. Read about your electrical issues and I can tell you when I restored mine I just bit the bullet and replaced all the wiring....under dash/engine bay/front & rear light harnesses/wiper motor...all of it ! I just didn't trust 45 year old wiring, period !  :icon_smile_blackeye:

I know you have your heart set on a new boosted Challenger but why not build a pro-charged bullet for the Charger ? That would be a way cooler and faster car !  :icon_smile_cool:
