I installed a B&M hammer shifter in my 69 charger and it is not easy to do although it seems to work great. So if you plan on doing this know that 1st it gives you very little room I have a 904 trani in mine but im willing to bet the 727 isn't much better, had to notch out the trani bell housing a little were the cable runs and play around with the shifter levers a little bit to get them not to hit each other when working. I also had the install the swivel cable connector upside down from what is shown to get it to work and not hit the kick down lever, doesn't seem to be a big deal there seeing it has a cotter pin and even if that broke it would not come out any way because it just missing the case so it could fall out. The other concern is that it had to run shifter cable along the engine and at one point between the starter and engine. They say try to keep cable away from heat as much as possible, my car dose not run hot at all and its not a daily driver so its not driven a lot so i will keep my eye on that.

Here's some shots of the important parts.
