Some reflection on Dodge Charger.com forum after 11 years on-board

I never knew how much I liked DC.com till I visit other sites. I have CONSISTENTLY gotten solid answers to most all my questions on Chargers and people genuinely want to help. With few exceptions, it's drama free and the "I have a better car than you" attitude is few and far between. Other places I've been it seems like posts/questions are unanswered and bumped to page 14 in seconds and/or people are more interested in showing who has the biggest genitals rather than help you out.

So a sincere thanks to the people here and the Mods, from "what's my car worth" to how to remove the shifter knob and even "chicks on Chargers" a great place to be...Thanks!

I too am grateful for DC.com. I came here with a dream and now I'm driving it!  Got a ton of work to get where I want my Charger, but I know I can do it with help and support here.

I have never been to a site that has people bragging about their genital size.  :hah:

Crazy Larry

All I know is that this site is great, and I just watched the full video of that dancing track girl.....

Wow. Chargers and Australian runners. What a site!

Yes, this site is a lot more peaceful than other car websites that I have been on.  One in particular tends to be nothing more than outright war sometimes on their topics.  I try to foster open discussions there (especially on science topics), but they constantly become mudslinging fights between certain members.  But, I don't typically get that here.  Don't get me wrong, we do occasionally have our differences on here, but (with a few exceptions) we tend to be much more civil with discussions.  I would like to personally thank Troy for all of his hard work on here, as well as the moderators, as that can be a daunting job to do....

The mods are definitely not thanked enough. They devote much of their free time and energy providing and monitoring this forum for all to enjoy. For the most part, it is a very civil forum and extremely informative.
If I haven't said it lately, Thanks Mods!

I been on this version of the site since 2005, but with the old version with the other admin for 2 years prior to 2005. Even though I been Chargerless since 2007, I stay here because of the friendships I made here.

Everything you guys before my post, I totally agree with you :yesnod:

figure of speech, but accurate  ;)

I forget when I joined here, as Doc74, but it was quite a bit before the new site came to be.  Jesse was still the owner I think.  This place has become more than just a place to hang out.  In 2004 I met my future wife here in Charger chat and yes we're still happily married.

A big thanks to Troy and the mods for keeping this place going.      :2thumbs:

I remember back when i was like 12 or 13 out of boredom i would look up pictures of musclecars while at school, and everytime i'd search 1969 charger or general lee, i would always get a few links to this site, i never joined, but i was aware of it for a very long time (based on percentage of age)  i remember stumbling across stuntman mikes death proof charger thread around the time the movie came out, but again, never joined, eventually when i got serious about owning a 2nd gen charger i remembered.. "ohyeah.. wasn't there a website dedicated to this car?, maybe ill find one there" and i believe i was sent a pm the same day i posted my wanted ad... which i posted about 30 seconds after i signed up  and thats the car.. (or what was left of a car) that i ended up owning  :coolgleamA:

And the most obvious thing is that this place started getting better in mid May 2012.

'With the obvious exceptions, there are those other sites that would cause many here to just pack it in and leave the first time they posted some dumbass, sarcastic BS and got their card pulled. Then, there are those here who are known as card 'pullers'. The difference is Troy allows both here to work out differences. Instead of doing what many sites do, having p**sy mods who don't come to Carlisle, or any other ventures, and exercise their 'onlineballs' to delete, block, ban those who aren't part of the 'clique', and single them out as 'troublesome'. That F. Look site has one 'not well endowed' ass who constantly puts down the modifiers of the board stating that there's hot rod forums for them.. (as if that entire site was for purists?)...

So glad the mods here don't pull this pu**y ass sh*t. For the most part, it's at least fair. Thanks guys.

I'm on a few sites, both automotive as well as other interests..... :D

None other has an almost 100% "I would like to meet in person" like this one.

Thanks to all.

Did it get better in May 2012 because that Richard Cranium guy was finally gone?

I always miss the good stuff.  Would it be too much if I asked what he was famous for?
