OEM undercoating

Question on OEM undercoating. Did the 73 chargers come form the factory with undercoating? I am slowly restoring the car and as I scrape this undercoat off I am realizing that this coating looks like it was put on at the factory. Would it be correct to assume that places like the wheel wells had an undercoating to help with sound deadening and not just painted the body color

I would say yes the factory did offer undercoating. Chrysler never intentionally painted the bottom of our cars. That was overspray.
