I started swapping a 440 into my 73 about 3 years ago. Then I bought a 74 318 Valiant, sold it and bought an 86 944, went to college, got lazy over breaks, graduated. So now that I've had time I finished the swap, break it in, and drive it. It still doesnt have a hood because the 440 with a performer rpm intake. I'm looking for a 1/2" drop base air cleaner bottom if anybody knows of one.

Thats a 66 Hemi Coronet 440

3 years? Sounds like a weekend project to me. In comparison, Troy is Speedy Gonzalis.

It should have been but when I went off to college the area around my car became storage. So to work on it I would have to spend a half hour moving everything out of the way then another half hour moving everything back. By the time I moved everything out of the way I usually didnt feel like doing much work.

I'm glad you put college ahead of everything else.......smart man. You're going to
do very well in life. Congrats on your sheepskin!

The 440 conversion is very nice, I'm eager to see your car when
the hoods on etc.  :2thumbs:

Ask and you shall receive. I cant close it all the way or it hits the air cleaner. I have a 7/8" drop base on the way hopefully it doesnt drop too much.

Looks good.  I see you removed those bumper pieces.  Looks nice.

bordin34

I removed the rears when I got the car about 7 years ago. The fronts were rusted stuck. Last week I hammered a socket onto the front bolts and sheered the bolts to remove them. The rear bumper is actually from my previous 74 Charger. The bumper guards kill shins if you arent paying attention.
