Shift handle design

My old '68 GTX with no center console had an Inland shift mechanism with a round shift handle.   I think that Chrysler went to a Hurst shifter in '69, but was the handle design round or flat in the Daytona without a center console?

It would be round.

flat handles are for pistol grips and brand X cars

I do hate the single bolt rubber insulator mounting of the round handle though.

Thanks for the info guys.  I had a guy ask me that question over the weekend, and I told him that I had an after market shifter, and that I wasn't sure of the design for an original Daytona shifter.  Now I'll know how to answer in the future.

I think they switched from Inland to Hurst sometime during the 68 model year run.
