Is the shifter supposed to be this crooked?

Something here is crooked, probably the bracket on the tunnel.  Does anyone have pics to compare or can anyone see what the problem is?  It's just cosmetics by the way, it shifts fine.

no its straight or as near as damn it , prolly needs adjusting  , slacken off the four bolts (Green arrow ) & re positon shifter , if the holes wont line up , enlarge the holes , as nessary with a round file  , although should not have to do this unless the factory drilling was off

I can see in the last photo that the chrome handle is bent...notice the rod that connects to it, the hole and the rod are not even, you can see a gap at the rod connection. I doubt you are gonna get that much adjustment out of making the mounting holes bigger

yep !! your correct !!  

took mine apart to have a look ,  there is little , well no adjustment with the factory drilled holes ,  & there is only three attaching bolts too , sorry for the confusion , my memory is not what it once was    ignore what I said in my first post

Thanks guys, you were spot on, the handle was bent as was the rear floor bracket that holds the single bolt.  I was able to bend it all back and the shifter is straight again.
