Whats your Favorite Car show to attend?

Everyone has a show they absolutely love to go to and look forward to every year.  For me its the OCMD show because i get to meet up with my buddies every year there.  Kinda also looking for new shows in the north east area that are similar, a couple days long and is a real cruise show.  not just park and look .   

Really looking forward to seeing whats out there and making some plans for next year hopefully.

I certainly enjoy the Carlisle show for an all mopar show the best but I also like the Frankenmuth, MI autofest street party show on Friday for an all make show!

If I lived in any of the bordering states it would def be Carlisle but here in NorCal it's
the PeggySue car show and old time cruise. It's a 4 day event with 600+ cars entered
on average.

I find this hard to believe. I would say hands down Carlisle is best show to go to. The Nationals is a mere shadow of it's former glory. It's been ging down hill for about 15-18 years now. Moparfest is also a nice show, as well as the Mopars at the Strip (although I have not made it to this one in last 4 years)

What can I say, I've been going to it for 35 years now I can't give up now.   I heard someone at the track describe it as Carlisle is where white collar types take their Hemi cars and Columbus is where rednecks go to party.

Honestly, I don't like to go to "only Mopar" shows any longer.  Tired of people telling me what's wrong with my car.   For the last five years or so, I got into The Hot Rod Power Tour, and also try and do other larger "all car" shows.  This year I went to The Car Craft Nationals - simply awesome!

I've actually never been to a car show; I only ever make it to cruise nights.  Work prevents me from having any real time off...

Actually being a 'car guy', I don't really get into car shows. I like going to cruise in occasionally, I have been to the Nats a couple of times, it was alright, not really what I was expecting... but really dug the swap meet at the Nats. Want to check out Carlisle one day (one of these years, Im going to plan a vacation around it). Most of the time, when I do go to a car show, I spend more time at the swap meet areas looking around, than looking at cars.

Some of the larger all-make shows are great, too. Woodward was incredible. I wouldn't mind checking out the Ocean City, MD show one year.

As for the know it all people, it's all about not letting them get to you. I try to have a sense of humor:  You mean you couldn't get a '69 Charger in Sublime green? You gotta be shitting me! Really? What else is wrong? 
Let 'em have at it, it can get funny.

I really don't like shows, which sucks because I really would like to meet all of you and that's only possible at a show!

I went to the Carlisle show a couple of years back and it was awesome!!! Anybody that loves these old cars should go to this event a least once in their lifetime. I didn't take my charger since it's really just a driver and all the cars I saw up there were awesome and you can look at cars and parts for three days and still not see everything!!!! I do want to go back tho, maybe in a year or so I can afford to go back for a couple of days again!!

Bill, I get what your saying.  It got old for me years ago.  I don't bring my Charger out to Mopar shows, only my Coronet.   This one is more stock correct, so I don't get as much slack.

Well, it was the Hotrodarama at the Swiss Tavern Tacoma WA (Traditional rods, beer, bands,.. etc.) but now that its defunct, its a toss up between Billetproof and the MATS. Only been MATS once so far, so it's still exciting, plus it includes a fun road trip.

  Me to---When to many know it all's get together it's not the outing I'm looking for.  Let's be honest
The more brand specific a show is the less fun I get from it.  Things outside of my knowledge base attract me and I may even be one those that can't hold my tongue and make a statement about something that should have been a question instead.

I stopped doing car shows a while ago. Just got burned out on it. My favorite show to attend is MATS. There is a nice one in Tuscon called "The Tucson Classic" car show. It is an open show but is age restricted to mid 70's or abouts. It is a fun show and just the right distance away to go for a nice drive.
