Hi everyone,After buying my charger from Craigslist from nowhere near me after only seeing picture and a video. It ended up not being what i was told it was , a finished older restored and driving car with no issues which it was not. After i had it shipped to me i found a bad trani which cost a bundle to fix and the shop told me it was not a recent issue, bad brakes had to replace the booster & master (still need to change the rotors),carb was no good because it was ran without a filter needed shocks all the way around, and numerous other small issues. The paint all tho look pretty nice it will need to be redone in 4-5 years..and was told it was in excellent condition....NOT,, good maybe but not excellent. So after getting it in march it sure is nice to be able to drive it now before i ran out of driving weather. So far it hit about 4-6 cruises and got a trophy at one of them. So beware when you buy a car that you cant get to to see it for your self, may not be what the seller claims.. mine you not that i still would not have bought it but it sure would have been nice to know some of these thing up front.

Here a few shots:

Quickly making friends with this guy ..the only other charger anywhere close to me.

Most who gloat about a car they r selling be weary.  Then again I'm way too honest and people want to buy my shit for Pennies.

Did you buy it from a private owner, or was it a dealer?   If it was a dealer, please provide the name to help other people.

I bought a AAR Cuda off Ebay site unseen one time, and when I drove 10 hours to pick it up, it was a rebody POS!   From that point forward, I will NEVER buy a car without looking at it.   Live and learn.

Glad your car wasn't too bad and your able to enjoy it.   :2thumbs:

It was a private owner from Michigan (i live in CT). I did see the car some time before cant remember where. Figured that i paid about 5-7 grand more than i should of...should have known that something was up when he had no issues when i offered less than he wanted. My biggest issue was that there were no 69 close to me to buy so i had no choice, i still would have bought it but probably for less.

Good attitude.   It's past and you probably have no recourse so enjoy it.   You aren't the last to pay for a Charger that was not as expected (and won't be the last.)

Nice looking car.

I drove four hours away to pick up Charger I won on ebay. Towing a trailer behind me. When I see the pos Charger I "won"  it was no where near the condition described. After some course discussion with the seller I did not accept it. In the end the pos seller waited out the 90 days, on the 90th day he gave me negative feedback.

I would never buy a car sight unseen.

I've been there too, drove all day with a trailer to get a car and when I got there it was almost like the photos had to be a completely different car.    And then he wouldn't even budge on the price.  I let him keep his parts car and brought the empty trailer home.
Always always get eyes on it before the money exchange.

To add to the list just found out the water pump is bad to so that will be next.  That should be in tomorrow.

Just changed mine too. While it's out check other components in the cooling system also that might need to be replaced. Especially not knowing the real condition of the engine.
