It also sounds like a lot of broken u joints and old fashioned drag fun.  The United Manual Transmission Racers.

Me too, especially when its someone who can really drive them.  Their skill becomes art.

We gotta class here. Gear jammer class. Seperates the boys from the men, that's for sure.

Well... nothing to report other then more broken axles....lol. i see a dana in my future.  :brickwall:

Ghoste

Hopefully you got more than a few passes before it broke?

Only had one prior run. They screwed up and gave my pair a pro tree when we were expecting a sportsman for a test and tune day. Sooo. We were both left sitting at the line with .500 lights and i left the line from an idle cutting a 2.4 60'.... it was a wasted run. I banged a couple gears and let off in 4th coasting through with a 14 something.
The 2nd run i launched at 5k and as soon i side stepped the clutch, the car twisted violently and then POW!!!!. I cringed and waited for the shaft to come through the floor but luckily it was just an axle. Lol. There is footage but i have to get it from my buddy.

1st pass: http://youtu.be/8NJSkutniSQ

1st pass was a waste. They gave us a pro tree on accident. After my .600 light i said the hell with it. Left at idle, bogging the motor bad. 2.5 60'. Banged a few gears spinning the drag radials on each shift. Lol. Pulled 4th early and coasted through.

broken axle: http://youtu.be/cH1rhB8FIkU

The money shot lol. Watch the deflection in the rear spring behind the wheel. Destroyed the traction bars, bent the floor where the snubber bottomed out and broke off.

Already in process of building a dana. Got a truck rear and ct it down. Welding ends on it. Going with strange 35 spline axles. Not sure what carrier im going to use yet. Id like to run a tru-trac but the cost is out of the budget.
