I think I need to add length to a wire that runs into one of my bulkhead wiring harness connector plugs as the wire continues to lose contact with the male end connector - seems like it was cut too short at some point in time.  Does anyone have any helpful tricks for removing the male end from the connector plug?

Use a pick or tiny screwdriver, something about toothpick size. There is a "tang" that you need to release without wasting the plastic nub that the tang holds against. I've had some tick me off and basically deformed the metal till it released. If you mess up the plastic you can't fix it, the metal connector can be replaced. NAPA has them.

buy the metal terminal first and look at it....then you will see how it releases....all you need is a small flat screwdriver to move the tang to the side to pull it out
