What color should this be?

Im in the process of prepping my car for paint and forgot about this piece.. mine is in the garage, just too lazy to take a pic of it, but you get the idea. Is this all black? It looks like it bolts to the inside of the valance panel which I think should be body color? Ive checked out some restorations on this site but couldn't find a good pic of it.

Never body color. I had mine powder coated in satin black. Other folks will
chime in soon, some say semi-gloss or whatever is closest to "trim black".

Black, either satin or some form of satin. My body guy painted mine body color after I told him not to and it looked like crap.
