My dad and I are fixing up our 82 Charger this summer and we want to know where to start. We where wondering if anyone else has fixed an 82 and what you started off replacing or fixing. Its a 2.2 no turbo i or ii. The last logged run time was in 2001 and was left in good condition. All stock parts.

First, welcome to the group and even though you won't find a large body of people knowledgable about the 82 models, I hope you stick around.  There are a few people on here who have restored them so hopefully you can find the help you.  The SDAC group can likely help too.

And don't forget photos.

Well mostly we are looking for places to buy reliable parts.

I would think there have to be places out there specializing in them.  Not much if anything in the aftermarket though, I think you'll have to rely on NOS and used.

Mopar Stuart has had a couple of them. Maybe he can help.

Welcome!

Hope you can get it back on the road.  They are a pile of fun.

Aero426

Had one of those back when I had hair.   It was a fun car.

I would make it a race car and stuff a big block in it.

Heck, even a 318 would be awesome in that.  :2thumbs:

I just sold my '83 Shelby Charger. Mechanical parts were still easy to find. If you don't have one already, create an account at rockauto and add that car to your account. I accumulated boxes of spares on the cheap by taking advantage of the distributor close out emails from Rockauto.
