I could use the speaker shelf.  :yesnod:

I wonder if the fine china set is included in the deal?  :scratchchin:

Fire? Flood? Hurricane? Vandalism?

All of the above!

It would require a nearly complete parts car and the AMD catalog for resto.

Already bid to value at $800?

Has title and dash VIN. Might want to jot that one down so it doesn't show up on a completely restored car two months from now.

I could use that speaker shelf as well as someone cut larger holes in mine.   ::)

That half center grille would come in handy as well.

Yeah, a threat like that should get the bids pouring in.  ::)

Was this car for sale a few months ago? I seem to remember another turd on ebay with a set of dishes inside of it?  :shruggy:

I dunno, maybe the owner should hose it down, the cars always sell better when they are wet?  :icon_smile_cool:

Wonder what parts he needs for his car, if this car has "good" parts that he can use........ :scratchchin:

Sometimes a car is just to far gone and needs to be put out of it's misery.  While 68 440 cars are rare, they are not rare enough to make restoring this one worth while...... :Twocents:

Well, it is an RT model (with VIN and title) as a saving grace.  I have seen people throw more money at a similar condition 318 version, without the VIN or title.  It all depends on who is buying at the time with cash in hand.  The key is whether or not the buyer has a nice parts collection to throw at it.  If not, it will get real expensive, real quick.  However, I think it should be saved, even if left as a curiosity sitting in a barn.  After another twenty years have passed, I bet then it would be a "rare" find as an unrestored Charger RT project shell.  As for a GL candidate, there are much better starting points than this one. :popcrn:...

If you win I might be interested in the package shelf, depending on what you're going to do with the car.
But then again, that might leave you with nothing.  :icon_smile_wink:

The title info says "salvage" in the ad. Some states will not let salvage cars back on the road so I hope whoever buys it knows that.  :Twocents:

If there is a title & VIN tag, I have to agree it's an envelope car.   ::)

Hey Mytur Binsdirti, you said you were looking for a 68 R/T with A/C and here one is!

I love all the speculation about the color. Let me answer the question: green/green is likely the least rare color for a 68 Charger. That is all.

I see one vent window frame, one black door handle button, tail light brackets, headlight vacuum pods, and the A/C heater valve. The k-frame might be salvageable. The current bid of $760 is about twice what it's worth so the VIN and title have to be what's driving the price. I have a complete, solid 318 auto car that could use an R/T price bump!

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Somebody could use the roof & sides of the unibody for a tube chassis race car.  It never ceases to amaze me how often people cut up solid unibodies to make cars when all they need is what's left on this thing.

We need to keep track of that VIN.

69wannabe

I bought a 68 R/T like this about 12 years ago. I used the torsion bars off of it and the previous owner had cut the entire back window and a large portion of the roof off of it but there were a some decent parts on it. After about 10 years of picking parts off of it I finally just took it to the scrap yard. I had gave away a decent passenger fender off of it and the passenger door got stole but I still got a decent driver side door. It was just a heater car and I still got the heater box too and a bunch of odds and ends that might be useable. This one is actually better looking than the one I had but I only gave the guy 50 buck for the one I bought.

chaos52

I dunno, the market on Chargers is pretty crazy these days.

I sold a '70 318 Charger in worse shape than this with no hood or fenders for $500 plus the guy spend another few hundred to have it shipped. Chargers are getting harder and harder to find and people are desperate to get them.

I'd say it's worth around $1000 :Twocents:

EDIT: It may not be worth $1000, but that's what someone will pay.
