i've tried to search the forums and got nothing. i am having issues trying to get u joints for my car. i have attached two pics that show what i have and the caps to the old one vs the new one autozone gave me. i went to both there and oriellys and took the ujoints and no one could help me out. i need both the one for the rearend and the one for the yoke at the tranny. the rear is a spicer that is longer one way that the other, and the caps they suggested have different keeper height. the only thing they could help me with was bringing all they listed for the car out and tryu to match. didnt work. i would like to get them in town somewere if anyone knoes the part number for either place. i saw where summit or mancicni carries them i think. but i'd perfer in town first. thanks.

Conversion joint, see http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/CatalogItemDetail.aspx/U-Joint/_/R-PUJ347_0006567547

PUJ347 is the NAPA number, but if you do not have a store near you, your locals may be able to cross reference that number.

I do have a napa. Forgot about that. Is that for the rear. What about for the yoke?

Conversion joints can be used on the front or the rear.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

i'm not sure i get what your saying. i just need the parts, no matter who makes them. the two stores i went to didnt have any to match mine. but maybe someone knows part numbers from these stores. i also have a advanced auto parts store here as well. so i'll take part numbers from any of those. just can't find anything when taking them up there in person. it'd be great to have a part number to just give them.

Ok. Just checked napa and they don't have them either. Anyone have the part numbers for Mancini. Wanna make sure I'm getting the right ones.

Your previous post said they showed as being used on the rear only, the conversion joint doesn't care which end its used in. If the conversion u-joint converts Detroit 7260 to 7290 and vice versa the basic number is 347. Alasakan TA gave you the correct P/N.

BTW, the relative position of the snap ring groove in the cap is irrelevant...as long as the overall width from groove-to-groove is correct.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
