It was a nice change of pace not to do too much swap meet hunting this year. Wasn't really looking for much, although I did pick up a few things.
New outer door handles & support plates to replace the ill-fitting ones on my '70, as well as new correct window fuzzies to replace the incorrect early repro rubber "wiper blade" type. Can't wait to ditch those things.
Hotchkis was also there, couldn't pass up their 20% off show discount special & free shipping, so I picked up a set of their new designed Fox-body shocks for my '69 to replace the current KYB's.
Of course, the Carlisle sausage sandwiches & smoothies were also a good score.  :drool5:

Anyone find any good stuff in the Carlisle swap meet??  :popcrn:

It was hot. Sorry I could stay for the picture. Did  not buy any thing. I did meet bill440rt. Had a good time.  :popcrn: :drool5:  :2thumbs:

Found an NOS date coded temp sending unit for the GTX.  Dad found a few things for his air grabber project.  All in all, came home with almost as much money as I went out with.   :-\

Nuthin!  :RantExplode:

What about that fine dental work you were showing off?   :D

I got the anti-rattle clips that I forgot to order with the new roof latches & dropped off the bumper core for a rechrome. The plan was to get the rechrome but the guy didn't bring it.  ::)

The bright side is he's shipping it for free & gave me the bumper bolts. I didn't have to hump it back up the hill to my truck but I did want to see it before paying for it. :shruggy:.

A couple missing pieces of weather strip/shield from DMT, correct gas cap for the 73. And the wiring has been messed with on the 73, waht a mess under there. I found an entire gauge cluster, corrct gauges for the 73 with a 150 speedo and (the important part) the entrie wiring harness, fuse box, bulkhead connector, support bar, flasher, headlamp switch, 3 speed wiper switch and high beam switch ... everything and in VERY nice condition for $150 (after some negotiation). It was, very neatly, removed from a 73 Satellite Sebring I was told.

20% off?  Ugh-I wish I had known so I coulda' bribed one of you guys to pick up their control arms for me...

Musicman

I picked up a new set of "C" Chromes for the Charger (always cheaper at the show).... and a nice Red Neon sign for the mini man cave I'm building in the garage.
I also picked up a few pieces in the flea market for the 85 and 87 D100's we're restoring (no pic's available at the moment).

Tell me about it.  ::)
I wouldn't have bought the other stuff if I'd known about the discount. As it was, they were already sold out of the shocks by Friday afternoon so I am having them shipped (free shipping, too!).

Cool, a little shocked you didn't already have one.

Never seen one until Sunday.   I figure that I only saw about 20% of the swap.  I got lucky on this one.

Bob

Set of painted rallye mirrors, very nice, 50 bucks for my 74. :2thumbs:

After seeing Banana Dan's woodgrain dash picked me up a new set for the 70 bee. Also found a repoped front lower valance trim. Some extra fusible links that are correct for our cars (just in case), service manual, front side marker lights, spent quite a bit of time in the swap area. Didn't get the see the trucks or newer cars. Did have a great time at the show and meeting the folks here on this site.

LOL.    You also got a ride in the Banana! :2thumbs:

Yes indeed. I rode shotgun in the Banana from the fairgrounds to the hotel  :drive:  Its a cool car and WOW does it ever get the looks!  :2thumbs:

I got a rock. :icon_smile_angry:

I actually got more than a rock... I bought two T-shirts at the Carlisle event store...(same day). It was so DAMN HOT they were expiring fast!  :eek2:

69CoronetRT

Not much of interest for Charger owners but I got some new books for Hamtramck Historical....

'78 Dodge C/T book. The 70-79 section is now complete.  :2thumbs:
'73 Plymouth and Chrysler/Plymouth salesman pocket book set
'70 Plymouth salesman pocket book
'66 Chrysler data and C/T book set.

I flew to Carlisle so taking home a bulge hood was a little out of the question. It would not fit in the overhead compartment.

I found talking with Igor (Tuffcat's dad) fascinating. I could have spent hours talking to him about how things were actually done.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

BananaDan

Agreed!  I was lucky enough to spend some time after hours talking with Igor over beers outside of our hotel and it was great!  What stories he has.  He has an account on here but doesn't post much.  Maybe we can get him to be more vocal!

Great meeting you Igor!

Moparman01

I bought a set of torque boxes and laser cut sub frame connectors from US Car Tool for my 68 Charger project. Had plans on buying a complete Just Suspension "The Works" kit while i was there but Just Suspension was not there nor did i find a dealer (if they have distributors). One thing that pissed me off is that i was looking for a busted up chunk of a '68 or '69 Charger grille face (horiznta/vertical slats), thought that would be an easy find, to fix a few a couple broken sections in my grille. Well i found several mangled junk somewhat complete 68 grilles with already broken faces, no one would let me just buy a piece of the faces. No way was i paying $200 for a junk grille just for a small section of the grille face! Several of the people i talked had used  pieces themselves to fix other grilles, ok so help another guy out buy selling a piece so he can fix his own!!  :brickwall:

Slowpoke

How big a piece of grill do you need? I have some broken sections from a 68 center grill.
68 R/T LL1
under restoration for the last 25 years

Troy

I only bought some replacement/reproduction stuff. I could have got it all online but sometimes it nice to see things in person. The price was the same either way so I suppose I saved some money on shipping - if you ignore the ridiculous amount of money I spent to attend the show!

I may have some grill pieces. Finding them is a completely different matter!

Troy

I could listen to him for hours. Super nice guy. Now I see where Tufcat gets it from!
