This transmission shop has been in Cocoa since 1960. A long time ago I saw this sign in the back of the shop. I had been asking the current owner if I could buy it. He kept saying no.

Well another shop and another guy who I help, hear me asking about the sign. So he went to the transmission shop today and asked him for the sign. He told him about all the work I do for him (for free) and said, "you aren't using the sign and it's so old give it to me so I can give it to John".

Well, he did and then dropped it off at my house today. I was floored that he did that for me and that the transmission shop guy was happy to give it to me threw him.

I had to tell my buddy I would be late to work on Friday because of a Dr's appt., and he said "you work for FREE!" it's okay that you come in late. I'll be buying the beer Friday night!

The sign is 4' x 4' and hand painted on wood and looks like the date on the sig is 1969

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly.  ~A. Einstein

It is a cool story and so much better than the generic signs most places use today.
