I have a chance to buy these two cars. 73 complete with 400 auto. 68 has no motor, tranny and needs a lot of work and has some rust. I'm wondering what they are roughly worth so I don't over pay. I have pics, but won't let me post.

Get you pic size down to less than 200kb and try again.

Get the 68 btw, 73's are, well, not that easy on the eye if you know what I mean... ;)

Have no way to downsize.

Start | All Programs | Accessories | Paint

use resize button

Make sure to give the pics a unique name (i.e. charger9078909sdfvdsaf.jpg), the DC.com database can only accept a picture name not used by any other person at any time.

Funny comment considering he has a '73 in his signature.

Well I tried

I got your 3 emails
Each time there were 3 shots the same
First shot had the 4 views and it came through as a movie
I could not get the second picture to open
Third picture I got to open and got it resized but when I tried to post it now it is saying it is not in the right format  :brickwall:

My daughter has an I Phone also so when she gets home from work I will get her to have a look at it to see if we can figure it out

If anybody else wants to give it a try go for it

Make a bundle deal on both for a price your comfortable with. Then sell the one you don't want & keep the other.

If he says that about the 73 then the 74 must be just as hard on his eyes.

So nobody is really putting  number $$ price on these cars

If both cars were equal on the underside of floors and frame I would say the 68 is worth twice the 73

Hey they both have the same style cement block holding the trunk lid shut  :nana:

Hard to see in the smaller pictures but in the bigger picture I can see the 73 has the back bumper bent in in the center pulling it out at the end
Cars have been sitting in those spots for some time to have the wheels sunk in up to the rims so how good is the frame and floor going to be ?

I will say $500 to $600 on the 73 (might have a good motor) and $1200 to $1500 on the 68 (worth more if frame is good)

i was interested in knowing what all is missing from the insides. if the interiors are there, could be a large savings. if they are as stripped as the exterior, you are basically buying shells. that plays heavily on the value. seat frames, clusters, controls, steering columns can all add up quickly. :yesnod:

I'd personally hate to be the owner of either one of those cars.
Can you post some fender tags on them?   Either one a 4 speed car?

I'd agree with the other post.  ~500 -1500. Based on the few photos

Not a surprising comeback. We may all drive different years for different reasons, but we are all on here for one good reason.
After a while you will figure it out.

Not a surprising comeback? It seems to me it would not have made a lick of difference what I came back, you would have had issue with it....

Guy asks for opinions on which car to buy, I gave mine based on my opinion.

You seem like the kind of guy who is just looking for a reason to argue, sooner or later you'll see that's not a grown up way to conduct yourself.

Too bad he has a 73 as his avatar... you pretty much just called the guy's car ugly.

I think the guy wants to say is that the 2nd gen is more desirable than 3rd gen.....but at the same time I think  he wanted to say that 3rd gens are ugly, but that's why he responded the way he did......just tell the truth dude and let it be.... :2thumbs:

RallyeMike

I appreciate the 3rd gen haters. It keeps the prices down. Buy them both if the prices are right.

I'd suggest using a more friendly, grown up avatar before going down that road.  That is, unless you want to keep us all humored.

Well if these girls will stop bickering I have a question for the OP

Why are these cars for sale now ?

Makes a big differance on how much you could get them for
Looks like they have been there for some time
Are they selling house and moving ?
Getting tired of cutting grass around them and time to go ?
Watch a lot of Barret Jackson and think they are worth big bucks ?
I am never going to get time to fix them so let some one else ?

Clearly, you get more cement block with the 73.

Must be more goodies inside and this was to thwart robbers.

With little info and small pics I'll give it a go.
73 is a 1,000 car. The 1968 could probably get 3k or 3500 if you had time to wait a little.
Both would be a hassle to resell because they are total projects. If frame rot is present then value is down.
But if you already own a 73, maybe buy both & use the 73 as a parts car.
Either sell or save the 68 for a future project or just to say, "yea I own a 68 charger".
