Brad-Penn oil, what weight?

I've read a bunch of stuff and decided that this is some good oil.
Luckily I found a place locally that carries it, woohoo!
Going to be switching from Rotella 15W40 that I have been using for years.
Question is what weight should I get for a stroked hydraulic cam small block?

I was using Brad Penn 20/50 until recently.  Switched to 10/40...

In my opinion you can't go by what other people are running. What works in their engine might not work in yours. My 383 can not run 20w50. I bury a 100 lb oil pressure gauge at cold idle using 20w50. Brad penn 10w40 works in my case.

If you are currently running a diesel 15w40 oil and your oil pressure is good at all running temps then I would run 10w40 inyour car. If your pressures are a little low then I would consider going up to the 20w50.

depends on your clearances in your engine & if 15-40 was working why change

My engine guy recommended Brad-Penn break in oil which is 30 weight . Then after break in after I told him how high the oil pressure was, he said stick with straight 30 weight . At least till the next change anyway .
