The 3rd gens are kinda like the heavy chick with the really cool personality for Ben. He likes them, and he wants to like them, but he knows that he's always going to look at 2nd gens (the athletic track and field girls that flirt with him) and think "man I want -that-". I know this because it's how I came to 3rd gen Chargers from a $10k Mustang.
"Scars" 1973 Base 318/904 Originally B5

Married on November 23rd, 2009
Fried all the electricals two weeks after purchase
Set on fire ~twice~
Overheated til it would diesel a full five minutes ~twice~

Never once didn't start, never stranded me, never once did not take me where I needed to go. Daily driver of 4+ years.

Currently undergoing 413/727 swap after I finally beat the 318 til it lost a headgasket. The kicker is the 318 still cranks and runs like nothing is wrong. I love my ca

This one looks very nice and is mostly original.  http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/4622786907.html

So what's wrong with one?   Lower the back down , different rims and tires, and away you go........

I agree.  That is a really nice looking car for the money.

GUYS I FOUND THE CAR THIS HAS TO BE IT A 68 FOR 10,000 AND IT LOOKS GREAT  :drool5:

http://wausau.craigslist.org/cto/4627395886.html

Has the motor out just because he putt those high comp pistons in it and it knocked so he was going to change the pistons but the engine is blueprinted and balanced so he would need to rebalance it so he jsut wants to sell the project

If I wanted to I could run it on a mix of race gas (I have quite a bit of Sunoco stuff from my dirt bike days) but I know a very good engine builder jsut down the street from me that has done work before and he would be happy to re balance the engine after I tone it down  :scratchchin:

Oh and the owner will throw in 9:1 pistons with the car. The only real bad thing about it is that I would want to detune the car so it would be more street able but that to me is better than fixing rust and body work

and sorry for the lack of replies guy I have been in school getting that going lately

Get pics, check for rust, etc. and if all is satisfactory buy that car.  You know what's out there.  If this is the one then do it.

yes just please buy one, this is good , dont pull it down , port and flow a new set of edelbrocks rpm's , bolt them on , get that engine to breath , alloys will take a bit more compression than those stock heads, might be the fix for detonation issues, just buy it, already or give the details to me , tubbed body looks at first glance reasonable

Wow!   4 speed to!   That looks like a great score

Keep us posted on this one Ben.  I think a number of people are chomping at the bit and not doing anything out of respect and hopes that you finally find your car.  Or maybe it is just me.  So in other words, I think you found the one, don't miss it if so.
