I kinda feel this thread should be allowed to live as it's both still active and still on topic. I think this thread has been a very interesting delve into the search for the perfect Charger and it's better than shows like The Bachelor despite the same theme and plot progression. I wanna see how it ends. Is Ben going to get the '70 he stated had his heart at the beginning? Will a 3rd-gen's coke-bottle curves win him over? We he shock us all by choosing a bandit-masked Super Bee?  :popcrn: :popcrn:

But I do agree it's a little frustrating that the ads are so often deleted even just 2 hours after posted here.

Never once didn't start, never stranded me, never once did not take me where I needed to go. Daily driver of 4+ years.

Currently undergoing 413/727 swap after I finally beat the 318 til it lost a headgasket. The kicker is the 318 still cranks and runs like nothing is wrong. I love my ca

But in the spirit of this thread.....this 69' blue Super Bee looks pretty damn nice for $17k obo http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/4583765041.html

Personally I don't like the wheels or stance but I also feel a little jealous of the hood options you 2nd gen guys have. I just might custom one of those for my 73.

2nd gens only have one hood available per year. 70's hoods are similar to 68/9, but won't interchange with other 2. 3rd gen cars have the flat hood, bulge hood, and bulge hood with air grabber/ ramcharger fresh air option that will interchange with all 3rd gen Chargers.

Grim Jhaixus

I will start a thread elsewhere about B body hoods to lessen my ignorance.

Serious tho, those dual scoop hoods are awesome and I want one.

No worries.  Tell him glws and move on.  You should be able to find a nice 73/74 rallye or 4 speed charger for under 10k.

WTF is wrong with this guy?! 16500?! Last November a blue 73 SE 318 was sold locally for $6000. Dude's smoked a little too much of his brain away!

If you consider that I can hook you up with a 440 '73 car with bulge hood and a spare engine for $3500, the catch is it is disassembled.

as I've said before the prices have gone up, no use saying  last November as that was almost 12 months ago 10 K + is what your looking  at .you can wobbly about it till the cows come home but facts are facts everything has gone up at least 5K some "popular cars (read charger ) 10 K   .I've been looking for a 70  super bee for years and in the last 6 months prices have jumped on all the sites by at least  10 K    :yesnod:

wise up     :scratchchin:  stop looking back to last year  for prices ,they are out of touch with what people are selling for now  and as you've found out they will just sit on them till they get their price   :Twocents:
save as much as you can and pay what they want its a sellers market now, unlike a couple of years ago when it was a buyers market

That $3500 car is not last year. I just met the guy has it, seen it in person 2 weeks ago. I didn't want the whole car and he wouldn't let go of the BB k frame.

Some of us aren't nuts. Don't spend $16500 on a SB 73.
