http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/4601557660.html

The owner has had it for 5 weeks bought it for his 40th birthday annnnd the wife didnt like it at all and it has to go. He has already told me that he bought it for 14000 and would like to get what he payed for it out of it I know the ad is off but he had it listed at 17000. The engine is not original and the guy before him tried to make it into a 'RT' the 69 front grill was also installed by him. (that will be changed) the car has seen 3 owners. Has 104k original miles or that is what he said and runs and drives good again from what he said. He also sent me all these pictures  :scratchchin:

Sorry for all the large pictures guys i just want to make sure that you guys see it all better to be safe than sorry

OH AND I ASKED FOR A FENDER TAG BECAUSE THAT VIN TAG LOOKS A BIT FISHY

Looks decent.  I do wonder what was welded to the left front frame rail though :scratchchin:  Go schedule a visit and check it out in person.

The red 68, 1/4's and doors fit horribly.  Possible poor panel replacement and alignment.  From a wreck or poor restoration.  The white one odd location and story.  You have to inspect the vehicle yourself in person or pay a qualified inspector to look at it.  It is worth the hassle and money.

I saw that too tha panels jsut dont line up that great  :scratchchin: and the other 68 also has the engine out which is a pain and its a 318

something about the body lines on the white one don't look right either. You'd need better shots of the typical rust areas on these cars to have a better idea of which is better then the other. I think a little travel time, and putting some eyes on these cars is gonna be the way to go.

Yeah that red one just isnt the one  :brickwall: it just doesn't feel right and that white 68 comes with a 318 (which i would change as soon as possible) and its not even in the car  :brickwall: ha this is jsut a pain in the rear isnt it

well the 318 would be the least of my worries. I know we all wanna say we have a 426 under the hood, but if you're going to be treating this as a daily driver, I don't think I'd be to upset with a 318. It's not a slouch by any means, and is FAIRLY "economical".....if there is such a think with these cars  :scratchchin:

What would you guys suggest for for older muscle cars that are a bit more car for the money  :shruggy: because chargers are getting a bit frustrating  :brickwall:

By the way this car is back up http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/cto/4606585015.html

Kill the thread, no.  But, imo, I think he's seen what type of cars are available in his price range on the net. Now,  I think it's time to start looking at cars in person.  Even if it's not a Charger, just looking at cars in person will enlighten him on what to look for and what areas to look at.

why kill it? what an informative little thread    :yesnod:
