The vin on this car is

That painted over VIN tag ain't gonna pass the sniff test if a cop stops you.   :Twocents:

like I said earlier this car has had cowl work at the least and I'd want to have a VERY  close look at the rest of it    :yesnod:

as others have said save as much money  as you can and buy the most complete driving car you can . maybe wait till you have 10 K to play with as opposed to 6K  that 4 grand will make a lot of difference in the quality of the cars your looking at   if you do your homework on them  and it never hurts to ask on here    :Twocents:

I see someone has offered to take a look at car in person for you  . seems like an easy ,quick way to find out if its a bondo buggy  and the seller is blowing smoke up your ass (believe me they will tell you anything they can to try to make you buy the car sight unseen )

Hey guys I am pretty interested in this car I talked to the third owner and this is the story on the car

http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/cto/4552551283.html

Thierhas really only been two owners the original since brand new then to the second owner who owned it for 5 years and then to the guy selling it which he's had it for 2 weeks

Now th the couple that owned it for 5 years put quite a bit of money into this car with a new 383 some engine work done wheels tires brakes and lines Flo master exhaust interior pretty much everything but the point which was fine before they got the car and was peeling that is why the black spots are on the car becuase they were going to finish it up with a show paint job

The vin on this car is

Oh and I believe it is a ralley version which I like

That car is in my hometown, I just was there yesterday. We can take a closer look if you want.

If you want a old Charger for daily Transportation I would make sure it runs & drives good as top priority. Good Luck. LEON.

Back N Black

Just remember as a daily driver these old charger burn lots of gas, you will probally get 12 to 14 miles per gallon. I know i can't afford to drive my charger as a daily driver.
Good luck on your search.  :2thumbs:

nvrbdn

heck yea, im 26 miles from work. i drive a 4 cyl on bad days and a motorcycle on good days to save on gas. i was driving my quad cab 3/4 ton ford truck and hearing the motor sucking the fuel as i drove. couldnt even imagine the charger.

Pat1973charger

The best advice given to you here is keep saving and look for a good solid car to start with of the era you really want. I have wanted a charger since I was 6 years old,  28 now and I have a 73 charger SE I picked up for $1200 and I'm regretting it now because I wanted a 69 bit couldn't find one that wasn't either $50k or so rusted out it will cost that to fix. I now have a rusted out 73 I'm sinking money into I don't really want. Save and get the car you want and you'll have no regrets.

Benfro89

IF i could scrounge up ten grand do you think this car would be worth it? http://tampa.craigslist.org/psc/cto/4559808096.html  :scratchchin:

Ghoste

It would be nice to see the underside as well.  There is rust on the top obviously but in a saltwater coastal town that isn't necessarily unusual.  It might be a good candidate but you need eyes on it.

If I can get him to make a video of it running and the body would that be good?

Yeah thier is a bit of rust but that 440 Magnum sure does look nice what do you think would be a good price for that car? If that's all the rust on the car

Ghoste

If its a real RT it may be priced fairly now.  Need to know how much bodywork it needs.  Better photos of the bad areas and underneath, trunk too.  See if you can get a VIN from him to verify what the car is.  Even better, the fender tag.

Considering what I've seen on here throughout the last year, what he's asking is a fair price.  It
s a fairly complete 69 that needs at minimum, rear quarters and maybe a roof skin. Some better pix of the trunk and rear frame rails would be nice.  Have you sent him an email asking for better photos?

hemi-hampton

Yeah, Definately check out trunk & rear frame rails, floor to. I've noticed a lot of Florida cars are not actual Florida cars, but originally came from the rust belt north & can be very rusty & full of bondo. What wiring does it need & sounds like brakes possibly. Remember, if daily transportation you want something reliable & dependable. And if it is I'd go for it. LEON.
