That $3500 car is not last year. I just met the guy has it, seen it in person 2 weeks ago. I didn't want the whole car and he wouldn't let go of the BB k frame.

Some of us aren't nuts. Don't spend $16500 on a SB 73.

I'm sorry are you talking about the superbee on eBay?

Never once didn't start, never stranded me, never once did not take me where I needed to go. Daily driver of 4+ years.

Currently undergoing 413/727 swap after I finally beat the 318 til it lost a headgasket. The kicker is the 318 still cranks and runs like nothing is wrong. I love my ca

The 440 73 is not on ebay it was a word of mouth find. I know people who know people and I told them I was willing to pay ridiculous amounts for a BB k-frame.

The SB 73 was me still stuck on the price of that SE on Denver's CL.

I'm sure this has been posted somewhere else in this thread already but I thought it good to post it again. And yeah, I set it to my own car, which averages currently (as a CND #4) at less than $7500, and it does list a CND #2 (like that SE above I keep harping about) at around $14k. So I'll apologize to whoever demands it cuz it looks like $16500 is only mildly overpriced instead of, in my word, ridiculous.

The '70 it lists at $13500 for needs TLC condition.

Wow seems like a lot of money for that car http://miami.craigslist.org/brw/cto/4610320845.html  :o

Agreed.   Based on the price vs condition vs year matrix you are building - what's the correct price?

Not to mention its the 68 with the 70 grille and a very ugly scoop.

The reason I'm going to say buy a running, driving car is because I've bought cars that didn't run, and you know what? I sold them. My brain would eventually click thru it's binary and decide a yard ornament was a silly investment. The single biggest advantage to a basket case is that you don't have to pull a motor to do body work and it keeps the cost low so it's easy to afford a nicer body.

The joy I get from owning my car comes almost exclusively from driving it.

Hey i know you guys are Charger kinda guys but what do you guys think about 71 and 72 road runners? I have been looking into them and they look pretty nice for the price  :shruggy:
LOOKING FOR THE ONE :)

polywideblock

I like them fine    :yesnod:   look as good as a  71-72 charger

that 71 gtx is still there , 5 offers all declined make a real offer not a "low ball" offer  .its a driver meaning you can drive and enjoy it while saving for the quarter work  to be done    :Twocents:

I'd had the runner 5 years before putting it in for the bodywork paint that I thought it needed  :yesnod:

  and 71 GA4  383 magnum  SE

I like the shape of the wheel wells, makes them look more muscular if that makes sense, but if I had to pick a part on them I actually like better than on my car it's definitely the grille and headlight assembly.

Nothing wrong with RRs. I know the name is DC.com but you see all of the B bodies on here.

That Sebring polywideblock has in that link looks good but I'm always going to cringe at that kind of price for a 3rd gen 318 car.

Lets watch this one. So what if it needs a little love? For get what I said earlier, all said and done what is ideal?

From what I've seen since your thread got me looking $25k+ is generally considered acceptable for a bare-minimum 70 in enjoyable shape.

I hate to say this, but perhaps he'd take what you have as downpayment? Of course, make paperwork, take pictures, get a notary, but I've had to do that kind of thing before. It's a certainty thru quantum physics tho as soon as you put your money down something preferable will materialize from the void.

Ha that is very true every time you buy something a better looking one pops up out of no where  :smilielol: I was just giving that guy a shot i offered him 12 grand cash and if he declined which will probably happen this no harm no foul.

To be honest with you right now id just be happy with a really nice 71 or something that is a little bit sporty. The market lately has been awful no good cars showing up like before  :brickwall: these to are the best ive found and thier not that great

A nice ls1 trans am can be had pretty cheap, may be a viable option for transportation, and serve the purpose of having a dependable muscle car, while you continue to save for a charger?
