Best adhesive for console carpeting?

I'm beginning to re-assemble the console on my '69. What is the best adhesive to use to glue the carpet pieces back on?

I use the 3M spray on glue, let it set for a short time, then apply the carpet and rub the carpet well
and evan to get any bubbles or air pockets out.
