Pic says it all. Do you think it's a big deal or should I weld it?

Ghoste

It's probably not a big deal but if it were mine I would want it whole.

weld it up  :yesnod:   might cause a annoying rattle sometime  :shruggy:

Never even thought of that, it would almost certainly be vibrating around in there wouldn't it.  Weld it.

The dash was fixed before it went in, however I think this got broke when the shop installed it. I didn't even notice it when putting pads on, my gf pointed it out to me. Not sure if it is throwing the pads all out of whack or not.

Ghoste

I can't imagine its helping any.

I had to weld the center brace mine as well... It looked like someone had cut through it with some tin-snips.  Definitely weld that thing up.

Funny, I pulled mine out of my 69 and it was broken in the exact same spot.

Be carefull for your carpet if you weld it in the car and remove the pads if you can. dont want them to get ruined by weld spatter

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Id say you want that piece to be solid again, I remember pushing and pulling on that exact area when I was having trouble getting my center pad to lay flat against the dash, mine was all bent and I had to manipulate it to get the pad to sit right.  :Twocents:
