So last year you somehow got the car from the original family, or are brokering the car? Fine, so are you the second owner and the new owner will be the 3rd or higher owner? Nothing wrong with the simple facts.

Very nice job fixing it up.

IMHO still not a #2 car with the mismatch of colors and the Quarter panel decal challenges, can't get there from here. That said I hope you get a good price.

I think we have been through this before.      I did state the facts and as I have said I own the car... have for several years.

i'm lost. as usual.

i totally get the original owner/passed on to his son part. i will fall into the same category (with the added bonus of having the exact same name in my case).

both the father/son could be considered owner #1, and may have never applied for a new title in the son's name. (i don't intend to either, especially considering the name scenario mentioned above)

i assume the car is now titled in your name, making you owner #2, be it for six months, six years, or since the 1970's . if not, read no further.

if the above is correct, the person buying the car from you will be owner #3. the ownership trail is documented. the car's value does not depend on how many previous owners it's had nearly as much as knowing them all. two, three, twenty... the purchaser will know them all by name. why not just say you purchased the car from its original owners, and avoid any confusion.

you're splitting hairs when there is no need to. the car is documented, be it the 34th, 36th, or 1836th one on the list. that it is on the list is all that matters. it is a real superbird, with the paperwork trail to prove it.

the person most likely to buy a 100k car will come from one of three demographics.

1 -the fan who already knows the model's history.

2- the investor who will do his homework (or pay someone else for it)

3- the wealthy guy who could care less; he just thinks it's cool looking

post an ad with minimal verbiage and maximum photos - the car will sell itself if the price is right.

Maybe inquire Mark at GYC he might have a buyer in mind.And he can assess its value in its as is present condition.We sent him a lead with a 440 superbird and 68 hemi charger unrestored under 38K miles on each car.For a old friend of mine who wanted to get a resto estimate who parked the pair in 75 and decided to sell them.Marc found a home for both cars.And explained the costs involved in todays market for parts resto and transport costs for a buyer.And what the current market value of them where.I got his email if you need it
