Hello Everyone, I recently bought several Mopar 383 and 440 engines and while checking the VIN numbers on the blocks I found one out of a 1969 Charger R/T. I googled the VIN XS29L9B157181 and came up with a 2 year old ebay listing for this car. I called the phone number in the listing and the person said this car sold on ebay about 2 years ago. He also said this was a tan R/T SE that he bought out of Arkansas (which is where I am and the engine came from). I am hoping the buyer of this car is a member here as I would like to see the car and engine reunited. Please PM me or call me at 479-430-4886 if you know this car or the owner.
Thanks, Steve Schweitzer

Good on you for doing such a thing!!

I wish that call would come through for me but alas I suspect that the PO with the nitrous kit on the thing grenaded it back in the early 90s.  :brickwall:

Hello, yes I saw that ad as well and called the number listed. The person that I talked to said that he sold that car on ebay 2 years ago and would try to find the contact info for the buyer. I am hoping this owner is a member of one of the forums that I listed this on (here, Moparts and FBBO). I would really like to see this engine reunited with the car.
Thanks, Steve

Nice, I am also looking for my original 440 engine for my 69 Charger RT.  I wish someone contacts me one day with my original motor.

It's not in the registry so I can't help you.

Outside of logging the VIN in the registry with the block owner's information?

Yes, yes.  What I meant was that the car isn't currently registered so I can't help that way.
