:scratchchin:  this looks a good / clever idea , although think going to / could get a hammering from road debris etc ,  also why T connectors , why not just run the hoses in & out the cooler  :shruggy:

What you're seeing looks like a trans cooler.

This looks like a very nice General, although the black carpet on the console looks out of place.

That's quite expensive, but it does come with two chairs and carpet mat for displaying the included Dukes memorabilia  :Twocents:

So it has an auxiliary fan in the fender?

That's a lot of $$ for a car that they describe the body as a nice driver. Still- car looks good. It's local so I might have to check it out for reference on mine

For $70K they could have sprung for a new front valance panel. The back side of that one looks a little ventilated. :shruggy: Nice car over all though.

I know the car well. It was owned by a very close friend of mine, had it built for him as a "turn-key" GL. I saw pictures of it before, during, & in person after. Helped him install a front sway bar on it. The valence was a distraction, but I kept my mouth shut. The ad says the car was "solid" before. OK...
I have an "idea" what he sold it for. Then bought a late '60's Chevelle from a family member with the proceeds. Nice car.
$70K??   Uh... ok.

That GL was sold on Ebay in May. See here:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dodge-Charger-R-T-1969-dodge-charger-general-lee-/141295944307?forcerrptr=true&hash=item20e5e50273&item=141295944307&pt=US_Cars_Trucks#ht_459wt_1172

I contacted the orginal owner (from the auction in May) and he confirmed that it is his car. Apparently the buyer bought it to flip.  I am considering having the same shop that built this GL  build me a similar car. I started a thread about it this past weekend.

bill440rt

Yes, that is the same car. He is a close friend of mine. Had the car built for him, "always wanted one". Novelty wore off quick.
And yes, the buyer bought it with the sole intention to flip.

Somebody should have told that flipper that GLs don't sell well at the high end.

What caused him to fall out of love with the car?

Ghoste

Does it come with the Confederate flag fold up chair and accessories?

Let's just say he has a wide range in taste, & something else just sparked his interest more. (See reply above).

Oh that's right-he went with a Chevelle.  Well, no one's perfect... :shruggy:

True. Unless they were owned by John Schneider  :icon_smile_big:
