Thanks, I did spot the F100 and the DeSoto after I asked but I couldn't make out any of the others.

There's a 58 or 59 Chev in Mad Max 1 (Road Warrior to you US types), the red one that the scoot jockeys destroy and do some not too pleasant things to the girl and bloke driving it.

They tried to outrun the gang after sideswiping the Toecutter in that little country town....it was a short chase..

I think there are some 3rd-gen Chargers appearing in the new MM#4 "Fury Road" coming out next year.

They moved filming to Africa to cut costs.   :icon_bs:

That opened the door for non-Aussie vehicles.

I thought "The Road Warrior" was the sequel and "Mad Max" was the 1st A12?

Mad Max was the first but I thought it was released in the US as 'The Road Warrior', therefore the same movie.

It was even dubbed for the US market, something that makes absolutely no sense to us Aussies!

Oh, okay.  Maybe in Canada we got it as released in Australia then as opposed to a North America version.

In Canada the first movie was Mad Max, the second was The Road Warrior

Yes, First movie was Mad Max. Second was the Road Warrior.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

aah, I see. It's never referred to as the road warrior here in Australia, it's just Mad Max 1, 2 or 3.

My other car is the same model as Max drove at the start of Mad Max 1, not the coupe but the 4 door sedan.

There was a project 73 XB coupe on Ebay a few years ago located in Georgia looked really clean for what it was BUT it did not have a title and the guy wanted $8,000 which is super cheap! But I figured it would have been a nightmare to get it registered so I passed.

It's an earlyish XB GT sedan, 351 Cleveland, FMX Auto. Max's yellow interceptor at the start of MM1 was a GT, so basically the same car. Mines a tired old girl that needs a resto but she'ss all there.

I'll get to it one day, maybe once I get bored with my A12................................(like that's gonna happen!)  :icon_smile_big:
