i have a 72 charger i built from the ground up
I am not using the heater core so i just used pipe thread plugs for the 2.
but there is still a pipe about 3 or 4 inches high on the housing to the left what is this for ?

also where the header is the font of the engine on the left side header there seems to be a hole where coolent is coming out of any ideas

On the exhaust some of the studs go through to water jackets, you will have to put sealant on thread,
Water pump housing , just put another plug in , I used this for an additional temp sender

thats what i figured with the water jacket.  I just put sealant on a bolt.
cant get any pics up sorry no camera

but i have two ports right next to each other that i thought were for the heater core then one ruffly 4" tall ruffly half inch wide just a few inches away that just sitting there

please keep in mind i built this car from scratch and left over parts so im trying to figure out the bugs

Good job , I'm doing one as well from scratch, factory manual comes in handy at these times ,
Standing at front of vehicle, the two on the left are to heater core , your right , there's a spot for temp sender near water neck , one on the far right spare plug , probably from casting part from factory

so tried capping it with a rubber grommet looks like it holds guess im going to buy an electric water pump or find another housing
