73 charger fender repair

I bought a fender and it has some dents right behind the fender well, right were it starts arching toward the front. I bought a couple of body repair books, but they do not go into enough detail to tell me how to blend the bondo with thw curve of the fender. Can someone give me an idea on what to do or point to a how-to book or video?
