Daytona R/T SE

So...

How much more is it to throw in the spare tire and a jack ?  :shruggy:

Gosh....I didn't even notice and it was staring me in the face!! Guess I was sooo blown away by the other "investment grade" details I overlooked it.  :D

A383Wing

love the cheapo battery cable ends also

I would like to call seller up and ask why this is a "rotisserie resto".......

but I refrain.....(maybe)

More rips or gash's in frame. Probably got towed out of a muddy wet ditch years ago.

That's frequently caused by unprofessional transport companies who don't know how to tie cars down.  :icon_smile_dissapprove:

Trans crossmember looks like it got one of those CAPS welded over it. I've seen those CAPS in person & refused to use them. Good if your trying to save a cheap transportation special low budget car, but nothing you's want on a, What this guy calls a high grade investment. What you do is instead of cutting out or removing or replacing the crossmember you just weld this CAP over the top of the original holey rusted out crossmember. Hardly high grade or quality in my opinion. :Twocents: LEON.

TUFCAT

Saw that also. :icon_smile_dissapprove:  I figured that's why the subframe connectors are there - to keep the whole rusted-out {investment grade} mess together. :eek2:

The connectors are there to keep the body from twisting from all that massive horse power. OR? You could be right :scratchchin:

They must have been drinking alot before they started the wiring job....

you cant get around the fact that if all the little details where corners were cut on a restoration that you can see, then you can only be affraid of the things they did in hidden places.
probaly cant keep a fridge magnet to stick to the quarters.....

If you could buy this car from a private seller that tells you "OK I know she aint perfect, but I could'nt do better due to lack of skill" and buy it for a fair price then i say "nice car"
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

A383Wing

seller canceled all bids and ended the auction....only made it to $45k

either some dumb-ass bought it, or seller got too many calls on the car telling him what was wrong with it

Owner tells me this rare mint gem sold for the $69,990.00 buy it now price. Hope buyer is happy :scratchchin: With that nice shiny paint I'm sure he is. :slap:

A383Wing

I understand this is a desirable combination, but I'm a little perplexed by how such a poorly detailed car could fetch that kind of coin.

Wagers on when it will be relisted?

Lot of people could care less about the little details. As long as it looks nice & drives OK that's good enough for some. Does not surprise me, I see Perfume on a Pig sell for big$$ all the time. LEON.

One of my pet peeves on these so called high end restos is these generic battery terminals  :brickwall: :brickwall:

The auctions thrive on this very principle, it doesn't even have to drive nice.  There is a whole crew whose responsibility is to make sure it will run for the twenty seconds to get it on the block and then push it off.  No brakes, poorly detailed, leaky rad, bad steering, none of it matters as long as the paint is shiny the bidding hands will go up.

TUFCAT

Come to think of it this car would be a perfect candidate for the auctions. :yesnod:  I'm surprised they posted so many pictures and actually got it sold on the web.

Online auctions still rely on smoke and mirrors a lot of the times.
