Car was originally a 383 - 335 HP car and it was red. The car was bought in the late 70's by the 2nd owner. He slowly worked on the car in his barn, and finally finished paint and the new vinyl top in 1985. The car sat since 1985 until 6/18/2014 when I purchased it. It was driven less than 100 miles since 1985.

Car has 55,xxx original miles on it. The motor is replaced with a 69 or 70 440 - 375 hp motor. Trans is the 727 auto with a counsel shift

Its a factory a/c car!, has the clock, but no tach....

body is awesome shape, paint is ok with a few dings here and there.....overall I rate the car about 90%. Interior is all original and everything works. Even the turn signal indicators in the hood. carpet is a little dirty with a minor rip along the counsel. Seats are good, no signs of wear anywhere. Headliner is holding up good, 2 small holes behind the driver seat.

glass is all good, wipers work, radio, gauges all work.

Only thing I did so far was a new battery and voltage regulator. The alternator is getting rebuilt tomorrow 6/25 b/c its not charging at idle....most likely corrosion from sitting.

It will be repainted down the road to factory red. I will make it a r/t clone at that point with a stripe and emblems.

Car runs good, fires right up, good oil pressure, about 30 psi warm idle, about 40 psi cold idle, and 50+ going down the road

He rebuilt the front end in 1984-1985 with all new suspension parts. brakes were re-done at the same time also.

The brakes work good but need some adjusting.......

I hope to slowly tinker with it over the next years, until someday I will do a rotisserie resto on it.

plans for the car:

as of today, just getting it in perfect working order. New oil and filter, new plugs, new air filter, get the brakes looked at/adjusted. Make sure the carb is adjusted right, the timing is perfect etc....

Car does leak some oil.....I have a leak from the power steering area, mechanic said there were some orings that may have dried up

it will take a little work to get it up to snuff....but I cruise the local area almost every night, took it to the beach and for icecream last sunday night.....

its a big block cruiser....I plan on adding a shift kit and trans cooler to the 727 here shortly also

its kinda of teal color, not sure on the paint code but he said it was a factory color....

any info would be great on it

thank you for posting that, I may be a younger guy, but I spend most of my time outside with my dogs, car/truck/ guns.....im not much of a computer savvy person (but I will figure stuff out)

yea I had a lever gun binge for a while...when I finally lost interest in lever guns (marlins and 1 Winchester) I had 12-14 lever guns....

they go cheap here right after deer season...I bought 2 for 300 bucks....

then I was into ar15s, then went back to ak's.....now im into my ruger handguns...and my truck and car of course

cant forget my 2 labs I have...they are my favorite!

thanks everyone, slowly working on it, got a electrical issue (see my post in that thread)

valve cover gaskets and oil pan gasket are leaking (dried from sitting) so I will get that done this coming week.

I have a exhaust leak I got to get fixed also, but otherwise, its a great car, really fun to drive

Wow that really is a good looking Charger, what a find!  You have a great starting point for sure! The little issues never sleep but that's what keeps it fun sometimes. The best drives are the ones you take after fixing something!

trying to fix a electrical issue now, I either have a short, which is unlikely b/c everything works on the car yet, or a have a bad regulator

I don't mind mechanical issues, but I hate electric issues with a passion....I don't understand it and its a pain to chase down

worst is I cant find a regulator near me!

Since the interior is original, it must be an early build '69, because the shift knob doesn't match the "wood" on the console.

Which makes it worth more, since it's more rare.
