I'm guessing there was more than just a turbo put on that thing, some sort of gear change or maybe he removed the governor. The old Silver Kings were the only tractors around this neck of the woods that would run faster than 20 or 35 mph.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

My old boss (farm boy from waaaaay back) had a rear axle from a pickup welded to a three point on this old Cockshutt for when he needed to move it more than a couple of miles. Put the tractor's gearbox in neutral, drop the three point and engage it. Wheeeee!
Imagination was given to man to compensate him for what he is not;  a sense of humor to console him for what he is.      Francis Bacon

WANT TO BUY:
Looking for a CD by  'The Sub-Mersians'  entitled "Raw Love Songs From My Garage To Your Bedroom"

Also, any of the various surf-revival compilation albums this band has contributed to.
Thank you,    Kenny

You gotta love the burnouts a couple of minutes in.

4BT cummins

4cyl Lil brother of the 6 cyl used in the dodge trucks and heavy machinery. All mechanical easy to crank up the fuel. Looks like a bigger turbo more like from the pick ups.

The new 1500 rams should have had the 4bt cummins instead of this foreign engine imo.

Those Volvo 240 engines are a great little engine, mines done 420,000 km.

But will it do burnouts and donuts?   (on the other hand, will that Swedish thing pull a plow?)

my grandpa talked about people doing similar things when he was a kid with Farmall F-20's
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

If I gotta look a turbocharged tractor it should be like this.

Ghoste

Thats another thing altogether, pulling tractors are amazing!  Talk about torque.
