Pulling engine?

Just wondewring if the two 9/16 bolts, below will be strong enough to pull the 440 out \?  One is at the pass. side, rear of the head and the other, on the drivers side, front of the head.

I think I used them in the past but bought new grade 8 bolts just to be sure. (Just for pulling.) Going in I put the block in without heads/intake/water pump housing and so on because it so darn heavy!

Yes those points will be fine , just make sure you have longer bolts to go in those points, I'm assuming your going to use those bolts for chains to lift it, so there's enough threaded bolt into hole ,
most guys use a lifting plate that goes on instead of carburettor , never been comfortable with those, like you said vey heavy

use high tensile bolts and heavy duty chain. I used a medium chain that broke once, flattened the sump
