Found a 1969 440 with 87,00 mile out of a Dodge wagon for sale complete with the PS pump and AC.  My 70 Charger has AC.  It was running when removed form the car last week.  Is $650 a good price for it?  The guy is firm on his price.

I would get it. I paid $800 for a running 1978 truck 440 with tranny last summer. I did it to "pickle" my matching #'s 440 Magnum. Never hurts to have a spare!

myk

A spare is right.  They don't make 440 blocks anymore, do they?

Not a bad investment, you can always use it as a base to build something crazy, then keep your #'s matching driveline stored until the day comes when the two of you part ways  :2thumbs:

:coolgleamA:  as far as I know ,  if the motor has never been tampered with ,  all that needs to be changed to be a HP motor is camshaft , windage tray , HP iron exhaust manifolds ,  intake should even be the same  :scratchchin: :yesnod:
maybe fuel pump & carb  :scratchchin:
