Nope. Alive & well.
More so I see them with the street rod crowd when cruising at night.  :yesnod:

Alive and well like pro-touring and huge brakes/rims/tires/engines/suspension parts that appear as if NASA designed them for a moon landing.....

I consider the monochromatic under hood paint job more of a turn off than anything.  FYI: those fancy tubes under the car aren't neon lights.  They're LED's.

you guys ever been broke down on the side of the street with no lights around those come in handy these days folks have em under the hood too. Jack up the car to fix something at night with night lights on is very handy....
