It has one thing going for it... the 460 is the best engine Ford ever made.

Wow, I honestly don't know what to say about that. What a sin for that charger.

Wonder how many paint brushes where used in paint the Private Lee, 5?  :scratchchin:

As bad as the paint looks, they could not get the 01 straight? :shruggy:

Have to wonder what it started Life as.  :'(

Those things are said to be tube chassis off-roaders.  It's only the roof & sides of a Charger.  Somebody spotted 8-lug wheels at both ends.

Looks like they did something funny to the fenders, like they're sticking out at the back.  It's consistent on all of them so it's not just accidental damage.  Maybe widened the fenders on top towards the back and set them out a bit, I dunno.  Many of the F&F Chargers have already had fiberglass front clips for years because the 1970 front sheetmetal is such a PITA to get.

I actually think they're kinda cool, Charger butchery aside.  Reminds me of an old DOH episode where Cooter jacked up the GL with big tires.

Car-based off roaders look SO MUCH cooler when they aren't too high off the ground and the suspension has travel.  More functional too.

The F&F Off road Charger has a Road Warrior feel to it!! Looks killer
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

I think the F&F charger would have looked ALOT better without the spare  :popcrn:

Who needs a spare wheel when you have 9 spare cars and a crew of 1000 or so people  :shruggy:

So if the price was right, do you think there is any hope that this car could return to it's previous life as a uh car? I suppose it depends on how exactly they went about putting it on the truck chassis. Someone could still probably pick this shell of a car up for a good price.

Mike DC

Hard to know, depends on how they did it.

Truck frames are normally built to flex, with the truck body mounted on rubber.  Welding a unibody right onto the top of it (most common way) would potentially be stressing the unibody a lot more than just having it along for the ride.
