I don't think I would personally tub a Cuda but this is pretty cool.

From the article:
This 1970 'Cuda (chassis BS23V0B178899) is said to have its original numbers matching 440/6bbl with a claimed 39k actual miles. The car has recently undergone a partial restoration with a repaint in its original Blue Fire metallic as well as a rebuilt engine and 727 auto trans–new suspension and brakes are also noted.

I like it.

Always liked the tubbed look, although I don't know if I'll ever get around to doing that to one of my cars. Not that I wouldn't want to, but I can't even find time to put air in a tire let alone start a project like that.

Prolly done way back in the day before it was worth anything more than a typical 20 Y/O used gas guzzler.
tubbed out three cars so far. Chevelle, Dart, and a Maverick.

Word to the wise, 21" wide, Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires are easier to spin than a 10.5 drag radial.

Yeah that makes more sense, scary to touch these cars these days as their value could be altered.

i like it, Its like a 500K$ Middle finger to all the hardcore Purists out there

A 500k middle finger may be one way to look at it.  Another way might be that a former 500k car is now worth 100k.

Yep, it's pretty much a 21" snow tire.

What kind of person feels the urge to tub out a 70 cuda?
Such a shame.

Not too many years ago that was the desired fate for many musclecars.

It was tastefully done, so I like it.  Back in the late 70s-early 80s, it was common for this to happen to them if the owner was young.  I have seen second gen Chargers (and other cars) done this way too.  The key to it is how well it was put together as a package....
