With help of our Mexican friend Ponch, i managed to buy a nice rust-free Californian B-body Mopar for cruising thru the summer.
Bought in January and finally arrived yesterday (had some shipping doubts and and a union strike at the port so that's why it took so long).

Don't have big plans with it. Yet.

Here's a pic or 2:

Very nice CB, I've always been a big Coronet fan.

Imediate plans?
Well yes, realigning the doors and fenders, fixing the passenger door lock,... smal stuff actually.
Go over the mechanices to make sure it won't die on me.
Next week I got all the paper work,  the vin# needs to be stamped  in the chassis before I can go to the inspection.
So after I finished the exams for my 2nd year BA it will be ready to enjoy.

dont you miss the red 69 Charger?
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

It will never come back but I had to sell because needed the money for dental surgery.
I tried to find a decent 2ND gen but didn't find the right one. So I 'settled' with this Coronet for now.
Maybe one day I'll find a nice Charger but now I have a sweet ride that will take me through the summer.

I know this is a Charger site, but I would not consider it "settling". The 68 Coronet is one of my personal favorites (and obviously, you appreciate them too). The Coronet I'm sure is substantially rarer on the streets today than a Charger.  You probably picked it up for a good price and will enjoy it just as much. Congrats!

I went over the car body wise today. No bondo to bee found, anywhere  :2thumbs:
All original panels, floors, rails etc. The interior was redone in the recent past so it looks beautiful. All it is going to need is adjusting the doors/fenders/hood and a repaint. One of the nicest most solid and rarest cars I ever had...

Nice find CB !!!!! I'm partial to these as I had a 68 Coronet. What color are you going to go with if you repaint ?

CB

It originally came in light gold. They repainted it now to gun metal grey. I do like this color...

Congrats on the new cool car CB, a 68 Coronet is my 2nd choice after my current car, looks like you did well .
A buddy of mine has a 440 4spd one in QQ1 blue and it just rocks.

It will certainly stand out in Belgium

I'll trade you the ragtop version for it, but it's just a little bit rougher.  :D
