Just out of curiosity, how much firmer do the shifts get with this kit?  For a car that cruises 99% of the time is it even worth it?  Can this kit be installed with the car on tall jack stands?

..............The shifts can get pretty firm depending how big u drill the holes in the separator plate how much u set up the line pressure...plus other clearances and band adjustment..........depends on how good ur trans is to start with........yes u can install it with the trans in the car.....kim..

Dino, on a trans in good condition, excellent , you can adjust it to more aggressively ,
It will cruise just fine ,

The Transgo TF-2 kit gives you several performance levels to choose from, choose the mildest level mods if you don't want the bone-jarring shifts or go to the TF-1.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thanks for the comments folks.  I'm unsure if I wan to mess with this right now, I only considered it because I am changing the filter, gasket and pan soon.  I don't even know what I want, the trans shifts fine as is but everyone raves about these things so I figured it had to come with some improvements.  Hard shifts is not what I want though.

Can be be adjusted to be mild Dino, the part I love gets rid of the lag between shifts

Dino

Alright let me ask you this, if I get the kit and adjust it for mild setup (Or I get the T1) and I don't like it, can I revert back to the stock setup?

Nope! Hit that valve body with a drill and no going back.  :eek2: I just had my 727 overhauled and "UN-Drag raced", had to get a stock valve body replacement. At the shop my buddy shows me a stack of high end valve body assy. from several company's he was paid to remove and replace with less aggressive or stock ones.  These things look like works of art, plated and anodized high tech fancy but unwanted. Want one? 100.00 have your pick.  :scratchchin:
